  • Russian visa question.

I want to go to Russia to visit my bfs family in Moscow I am dual citizenship holder of Mexican/usa citizenship. My boyfriend is Russian born with dual citizenship also in Bosnia. I live in Mexico

My question is should I travel as American or Mexican? And how on earth do you even start the Russian visa process? Any help is much appreciated. I am going to dive into the whole process tmrw but it’s all very confusing

You should consider applying with your Mexican passport as Mexican citizens are eligible for a simplified e-visa for stays up to 30 days, which is an online process and doesn't always require an invitation. The standard Russian visa process, especially for US citizens, usually requires a visa support letter (invitation) and an application E-ZPass on the Maine Turnpike submitted to a Russian Consulate or Visa Center in the country where you are currently residing (Mexico).
