Lying on ETA application UK

I have a DUI conviction from 8 months ago, and didnt want to risk being denied from my ETA application, so i lied and said i didnt have any convictions (allegedly). Now im regretting this and thinking i should submit another application, but will there be any problems at border control if i do so? im flying into London so im assuming its pretty strict there.
