Inviting Parents with myself being in a F1 Visa

I am inviting my parents to attend my PhD commencement ceremony and tourism purposes. They would be applying from Kolkata consulate. I am currently in an F1 visa and already have a University job lined up starting Fall 05. I sent them sponsorship papers with all relevant documents along with I-134 sponsorship forms. My father owns a business and we own substantial property in Kolkata. My mother is a housewife.

My questions:

1. Can I sponsor them (using i-134) being a student myself ?
2. I am the only child. Would that factor in ?

1. If you have money to sponsor them, you can give them I-134.
Else, if your father has got enough money, he can sponsor himself.
