Return Ticket Question

Hello,

My father plans to visit me for 6 months. While booking his return ticket do I need to book the ticket for close to 6 months or 1 week less than 6 months?

I just want to make sure there are no issues when he visits me next time.

Always book return ticket one week in advance before the expiry of I 94 date assuming your father gets 6 months stay. It is safe.
