  • Holding multiple visas in the US

    Hi,

I have this lingering question and I've received varying responses. Hoping some of you can help.

In 2006, I applied for and received a 10 year multiple entry tourist visa (B2).
In 2007, I entered the US on a F1 visa.
In 2010, I converted my status from F1 to H1B visa.
I am currently on an H1B visa.

I wanted to know whether my tourist visa (B2) would still be valid or not? In case I go out of status on H1B, can I leave and re-enter US on my older B2 visa?

    Your help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Yes. Unless the visa is stamped canceled you can use it.
At POE you will still need a valid visitor reason to use it though. (like tourism, visiting relatives etc.)
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
