Appointment Date for Tourist Visa at the Consulate(Mumbai)

Dear Friends:

My mom has applied for a tourist visa. She has followed all the procedure and got a confirmation when she filled in an on-line application form. She hasn't heard anything from the Embassy about her interview date yet. Its been two weeks already. Do they send a postal mail or e-mail confirming her interview time and date? She has a confirmation no as an acknowledgement of the on-line application. Any input from your end would be most appreciated.

With the link that you provided I was able to get the Interview date finalized Murali. By any chance do you know where we need to submit the documents. It says the relevant documents (the I -130/Affidavit of support etc. etc. ) should be handed over three days before you go for the interview.

Kindly submit documents to VFs centre in Pune or Mumbai three working days before the interview date.
The documents are- HDFC bank receipt, One photgraph, DS 160 form confirmation(Bar code)
Interview appointment letter.
