Travel to USA using B1/B2 Visa.Route India->Canada->USA

Hi,

I am from India and i have a B1/B2 Multiple entry Visa which is valid till 2018.I am planning to travel on a leisure trip from India to Calgary,Canada and from Calgary to Seattle,USA and back to India. I know that i can enter USA from India on tourist purpose using my B1/B2.

But is it possible for me to use the same to enter into USA from Canada since i will be going to canada first ?

B1/B2 visa question

Currently, my friend has a B1/B2 valid & active visa. He has travelled to the US on business 3-4 times in the past (almost an annual visit over the past 5 years or so). He wishes to visit this time for pleasure/ as a tourist for about two weeks to reunite with a couple old friends.
Ø**Could he travel to the US on this active B1/B2 visa for pleasure?
Ø**What are the odds that his entry would be restricted?
Ø**What documents must he bring with him, in case questioned at entry (with the exception of the passport detailing the active visa)?
