Hi. I've been to the US 3 times last year (first about 2 weeks, then about 1 week, and then about 5 weeks). Then I went one last time for 3 months, from December 2010 to February 2011. Those times I was visiting friends, and generally just enjoying Los Angeles. I always go to LA. I love it there, and I've been there quite a few times over the last 5 years. Last time I went though (for the three months) the Immigration Officer warned me that returning to the same city, especially for 3 months, is not considered a vacation, and that I shouldn't do it for that long again. I've never had a problem being let into the country, so while I do understand and accept the Immigration Officers job, now I suddenly feel very uncertain about going to LA again, which is why I thought I should look into these visas instead.
I'm retired at age 33, due too very personal circumstances, but nothing dramatic or anything
I have family and friends here in Denmark, not to mention the fact that the government is paying me my retirement money. I wouldn't want to give that up, and the money I get is enough to take care of myself in LA (I've made a budget). But like I said, I feel very uncertain, and would like to know if it should be possible for me to get a B2 visa in this situation?
My main reason for going to LA for 6 months, is to take some acting classes. As far as I can tell, if the amount of lessons doesn't exceed 18 a week, I should be able to do that on a B2 visa. Even if I could stay for another 3 months on the VWP, I don't think it would be legal for me to taking acting classes on the VWP? We have acting classes here in Denmark, but nothing in the area that I want, and LA just has exactly what I'm looking for.
Like I said... I feel very uncertain, and I honestly feel like I have no idea if my current situation will work for me or against me in getting a B2 visa?!
Thanks!
