I-94 date

Hi, i would like to know if it is valid to depart/ travel back on the day of expiry of the I-94? e.g if the allowed stay as per I-94 is until 1st Oct, is it permissible to travel on 1st Oct itself if not earlier?

You must depart on or before that date.

You can also departe on the last date of expiry of I 94 but it is not advisable. Assuming any unforeseen activity happens on the day of departure and if you can not leave on that day, then, you will be over staying in USA.
So, it is better to leave atleast one week before the expiry date.
