  • I REALLY just want to see the US!!

Hi, can anyone please spare a minute to help with my 'tricky' situation?

I want to apply for B2 Visitor Visa.
I want to spend a month back-packing across the US, seeing the
National Parks, enjoying big city sights and nightlife.

    ____________
Sight-seeing is my only interest, but I think they might not grant me a visa.
    ____________

    Here's Why:

    1. Unlike most people here, I'm not going to visit family.
I have 2 cousins in the US but they haven't invited me. I will be staying at hotels. (Can arrange to have an invite, if it's going
    to help.)

    2. I am single (so my only ties here are my parents and sister),
my age is 31 yrs and have the means to sponsor myself.

    3. I am a freelance writer so I don't have an employer here.
Most (but not all) of my freelance writing assignments are sourced
from the US, using websites such as ProSavvy.
This is not a business trip, but I can request one of my clients
to send me an invite or similar letter, if that might help.
My fear is that this might hurt my chances, as they will know that
I am capable of making a living in the US.

Should I tell them that I get work from the US, or should I keep it from them?
Will it help if I call it a business trip, although it ***'t?
I have been getting writing assignments from the US for 5 years,
never had to visit as these are usually very small projects.

    4. I am not a Graduate, have passed 12th standard only.

    5. I don't own a house but there is a plot in my name.
If it's likely to help, I can get a building plan passed
for building my house on the plot. (Not sure how long that
    takes....)

I don't own a car. I live with my parents.

I've been saving up for my "big US adventure" for years,
but I'm worried that I'll get rejected for the visa.

Please spare a moment to give me your thoughts, advice.
    I appreciate your help.

Looks like it may be difficult to get visa for you.

    But no harm in trying.
