Regarding Air India ticket of vistor

HI Immihelp,
First of all I would like to thank you for all the information on the site.. I just followed whateever u mentioned on the site and my mother and in laws got the visitor visa successfully within a span of 3 months. No documents were asked and interiew was smooth.
Now I booked ticket to US for my mom thru AirIndia website and I paid for the ticket with my credit card. On the site they mentioned that my mom has to carry the copy of the credit card used to purchase the ticket (sticking off the *** number) else she will not be allowed to board the flight.
Just wanted to check if they are following this rule religiously or not. If yes , then I need to send a copy of my card to her.
Please advice.

Provide her a copy of your credit card.

Indian airlines (like indigo etc) followed this religiously when this was first introduced. But they cooled off later. Would you take the risk of not being able to scan your credit card copy and asking your family to take a print ? Also make sure on the copy (scan) that you send should be a front and back scan of the card with your sign on the paper.
