Can a father sponsor his son for a tourist trip to USA?

Can my dad sponsor me for my tourist trip to USA if he can afford the expenses? Im a student and dependent on him. im not employed by a company/employer.

Another related question, i have my personal account which has been maintained and has sufficient money but that money was transferred by my dad to my account. That is my personal money.

In the application form, Should I should show myself as a sponsor or showing dad as a sponsor will be a better option?

if i show myself as a sponsor, will a visa officer ask me where i got that money from since im a student. my answer will be like my dad transfered that money but i had no documents to back it up since transaction was done from bank to bank.

Very tough. As you are very young, you might just stay back in the US.

but i have traveled 5 devleoped countries before and i did not stay there.

They also asked for travel history in the last 10 years. I will submit it as a separate form, it is a requirement by a local embassy in Pakistan.
