  • visitor/business B1 visa got rejected

    Hello Immigration Experts,

I am a German National. I wanted to visit US in September 2010. Filled an online ESTA in July 2010 (Electronic System for Travel Authorization - for visa waiver countries as Germany is included in the US visitor visa waiver list). My ESTA was not approved and they asked me to apply for a visitor visa. Applied for the visa in US consulate Munich in July 2010. They informed me that the application has been held for further processing.

In between, I was in email contact with the consulate and they kept informing me the same, i.e., my application is still under process and the decision is pending. Atlast after more than 1 year in end of october 2011, they sent me a letter saying my application for a visitor visa is being rejected due to section 212 (a) (3) (B). I looked at the details of this section in the internet and it turns out that I am a terrorist or some one who helped terrorists or belong to banned terrorist organization.

NONE OF THE ABOVE APPLIES TO ME

It appears like my name is dirty in the US list. How can I clean this dirt? I asked some of my friends and they told me, it is difficult because I am not living within the country. What can I do to clean my name????

I am a German Muslim and have nothing with terrorists or terrorism. Living in hamburg. Getting up and doing all routine things which everyone in this world is doing to care for his/her family and kids.

    Please help.

It is a serious matter and a black dot on your integrity. They could not refuse you solely based on that reason without having sufficient evidence at their disposal.
