Can I sponsor a visitor visa to my parents if my L1visa is expiring in 5 months here?

Hi, I need a clarification on sponsoring a visitor visa to my parents. My L1visa is getting expired in 5 months and it will take some more time for my company to apply for a visa extension.

Can I sponsor my parents in this situation? Is there any rule on minimum visa validity to sponsor a visitor visa to any parent? Any info on this is of a great help. Let me if there are any links available on this information. Thanks a lot!
