Help...B2 Visa Rejected at Hyderabad

Hi,

My unmarried sister wanted to visit me while I am in US and applied for a B2 visa. She was interviewed on 11/17/2011 and they rejected her on US Visa Act 271 B.

Can someone explain me what is this act?

Also, she is working in a software firm in India, as she has joined newly in that company, she could not ask for leave/NOC and said she is not working. Could this also be the cuase for her Visa rejection?

Finally, when can she apply for her VISA again? Please let me know any other measures which she can take while attending for interview next time.

I guess it should be section 214B. It is intending immigrant.

She needs to speak the complete truth. If she is working, she has to say that. That is much better than not working.

Young, single, not working female = obvious rejection.

The reason (as per consular officer) = she is going to the U.S. to get married to some U.S. citizen and stay the forever.
