Visitors Visa- Need your advice....Immihelp

My parents have got 10 M entry visa to america. Currently are here with me.
There I94 is stamped for 6 months and they intent to visit Australia before reaching India from US.

1. Can they apply for visitors visa to Australia from US during this trip.

2. If so, can you guide as to where I can find the details for visitors visa to Australia.

Do they have to go back to india before going to Australia??? If they don't...would that be a problem next time when they are visiting america.

Their intention is staying here with me in america for 5 months and then leave for Australia and stay their at his sisters place 3 months and the go back to India. Again, they would like to visit america after 7 months stay in India that would be june 2006.

Please Immihelp....what do you advice? would their any problems with this plan.
