Hi All,
My parents got 10-yr multiple entry visa at Mumbai consulate last week. Thanks a lot to immihelp. I had prepared everything exactly as mentioned in immihelp. I had also sent them some sample questions and experiences and interviewed my father twice. I guess this gave them a lot of confidence. Three people who were ahead of them, got rejected. These are the questions they asked my father:
a) what does your son do?
b) what do you do? (he is retired).
c) what is the source of your income and what is the income?
c) have you visited US before?
They only saw: my invitation letter to them, my letter to the consulate, and letter from my employer.
And they didn't ask a single question to my mother. I believe that interview is just a formality. Main thing is paperwork. Another important thing in their case may have been that two of my siblings are in India and I am their only child here in US.
This site is a great help! May every parent get a visa!
