What should I do Immihelp. I am very scared

Hi,
You said in the previous mail that original A/c verification letter is required.
The problem is my parents' as well as mother-in-law's date and time is same and there is only one original letter.
I called bank of America today and they said it would take minimum 5 days for the letter to reach us(a/c is in california , we are in NJ and they don't have access to records here). It would take another 5 days to reach India by the time interview date is gone.BOA said they can fax it .

1. Would the fax do( which I doubt as you said original)?
2. Would they ask for original letter or simply reject?
3. In case they ask ,could my parents tell them it is with my mother-in-law
being interviewed in the other window and get it from her?
4. Would this thing affect my parent's or mother-in-law's visa approval?
5. Could that raise more questions ?(Like why do they have one original or are 3 of you going to USA?
6. Could they say we did'nt know original letter was required for both and thought we would take it from her if required?
7.I am scared because my mother-in-law's visa was rejected once on 10th May for 214b.She has the original one but if my parents ask for original from her in the middle of her interview , could this thing affect her visa?
8. Both mother and father are prinicipal in college(ofcourse different college).
they have exams in their college in Sept. and have to come back. (besides they have unmarried daughter who is studying and land and house.)Will it be one strong reason to come back?
9. My mother-in-law has an orchard and she has to come back by October for seasonal spray and pruning .(besides she has unmarried son who is studying and orchard and house.)Is this one strong reason for her?

One my friend told me that his mom went with 6 months of his original bank statements instead of a letter from the bank. She got her visa approved. So it might be a worth to go with something in hand rather than nothing.

You can try all that regarding the a/c letter, but no one knows for sure what exactly will happen with those options as it all depends upon the consular officer.

Aks BofA to Fax you the letter on BofA's letter head. With the fax attach 6 months worth of statements in original, if possible. That should be sufficient in your circumstance.

One original document should be enough

Just because they have the interview at the same time does not mean that the interview will take place at the same time. The interview does not take place at the exact time on the appointment letter. The time on appontment letter is just a guide that the folks at embassy use to still put you in in a queue. In fact your parent and inlaws can probably all go to the same window to get and attend the interview together if that is what tey want. There is no one financial document that is a must. So if you have last three months of bank statements along with the faxed copy from BoA it should suffice. If you have stock statements then send them also. Give your parents as many documents as you can and ask them to arrange it nicely in seperate folders like - documents from sponsers, invitee documents, property documents etc.


The most important is to demostrate that they have ties to India and plan to return back. Make sure thay practice answering this question. Try not to lie and be as straight forward and honest as possible.

while I think no one particular document is needed - it is some of all the parts that makes the case. Send them last few months of bank statement and your employment verifcation letter your w-2 and last few pay stubs. I see no reason if you have all other documents then you should be okay if you do not have that one document.
