My husband of 5 years is a US citizen, but at the moment he is not living in the US. He has a permanent job and holds a residency in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Me and our two children are also living here in Dubai under his sponsorship. I'm unemployed, I'm a fulltime housewife.
We are planning to visit his parents in the US sometime this year and so I need to apply for a visa.
I think I should apply for a non-immigrant B2 visa.
The problem is, I was rejected a B2 visa twice before.
The second time I applied was even after we were already married yet still they rejected my application. I'm married to a US citizen but they don't even grant me a visit visa!
(The reason given to me was because I don't have enough history of international travels)
Do I have any other option but a B2 ?
I'm not immigrating to the US because my husband has a permanent job here, so I think a non-immigrant visa is my only option.
But why did they reject my application even after I'm already married to a US citizen?
Now I even already hold a US taxpayer ID. Do you think they can still reject me a B2 ?
The fact that I'm married to a US citizen and also pay US tax but only applying for non-immigrant visa is actually seen as a bad thing - is this true? But I'm not immigrating so I can't apply for immigrant visa.
