Parents and In Laws visa got approved

My Parents and In Laws visitor visa got approved in first attempt. I would like to share my experiance on this forum which may help some of its readers

Background :-
I did send my parents and in laws on same day and same time for interviw but in different batches.
I was planning to send all 4 in one batch but thankfully I got suggestion on this forum to not send
all 4 in one batch.
DS 160 :-
1. I was sponsor for all 4.
2. As per suggestion on this forum, I did mentioned my wife name on her parents DS160 and my name on my parents DS 160.


Questions asked :- (Summarized questions of bothinterviews)
Q: Why are you going to the US?
--> Tourism.....My suggestion, dont mention to visit my childrens.
Q.Do you have relatives in the US? If yes, who?
Q: Where does your son/Son In law work?
Q. when did you last meet your son/daughter-in-law
Q. How many grand childrens you have ?
Q. How long will you stay in the US?
Q. Show me you sons petition?

Thats it....Visa approved.

Mentioning name in DS 160

Hello

Congrats!! for your parents B2 Visa

I am applying for my parents now and will schedule an interview in couple of days


I have a question

Can you say what exactly you mean by mentioning your name on your parents DS 160 and your wife on in laws DS 160

and on which column you mentioned it..

My question:

When you say you mention your wife's name on her parents' DS160? What do you mean by that? Eventhough you were sponsor, did you mention your wife on her parents' DS160???

Also, when they ask why are you going? If we say just for tourisam and if VO finds that your son/daughter is there, wouldn't it create a problem?

Which location was the interview?

Also, what do you mean by your question:
" Show me you sons petition?" ------- What is that? Did you file any GC for them???
