  • help needed -- in laws visa rejected on 02/08/2012 at hyderabad consulate

    Dear Friends,

My in-laws visa got rejected on 02/08/2012 at hyd consulate.
when they asked reason, VO said they are looking young and are visiting for work not for visiting places.

VO asked all the details about in-laws business, their nature of business and turnover (1 crore/annum), income (2 lakhs/annum) and family details. VO does not even look any documents and said above reason. They even had unmarried son 19 yrs and mother 70 yrs old.

Actually, my in-laws does business in wholesale grocery. They have all the supporting documents for the past 25 years.

    Can anyone answer these questions?

    1. Reason for rejection is correct?
    2. When can we apply again.
    3. Next time when applied again, is it good mention grocery store again?
    4. My wife is pregnant, can they answer next time to take of her daughter?

    awaiting reply.

    Regards

How come on a turnover of 1 Crore/Annum the income is only 2 Lakh/Annum? VO might have observed this and thought that income per year is low hence want to go to US and open business there. You have to be more truthful and practical about income. This is my opinion, please consult experts too.

        Dear Friends,

Actually, while filing in-laws DS160, we mentioned only taxable income which is around 2 lakhs which is documented in tax returns, but actually they have other incomes like agriculture, rental properties etc which are also documented in tax returns. which is another about 1.5 lakh. While visa interview they did not mention other incomes. It is a mistake.

In laws are planning to go for another interview after 2 months. Can they mention actual income then.

Is there a possibility that because of age, again visa will be rejected?
