Visa approved but still under process at us consulate,hyderabad for more than 15days

My interview was held at US consulate, Hyderabad and Interview date was 15th February,2012
Passport Status as on March 2,2012 is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate. my visa category is b1/b2 for visiting purpose for my exam in usa

My interview went good and i was told by visa officer that my visa is issued and i will get in 7days. NOTE that i was NOT given any type of form like 221(g) pink ..white etc and also Not given any case number.

Now it has been more than 15 calender days and still my passport status is showing as Your Passport is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate. I want to know what is meant by "processing" at us consulate.

I have checked turn around time at here and it says it is just 2 days.

US consulate never emailed me BUT I myself emailed us consulate regarding vfs passport tracking status then they emailed me and just mentioned that my case is under process and will do as soon as possible.

Important thing is in email they mentioned my name,passport number and case number.. I am worrying that why they mentioned case number in email? I was not given any form at IV and nothing like case number.

I think for every case they have case number as a routine..what you guys say? When i check case number at us consulate website it says case number is invalid

previously i saw in some other experiences that us consulate emailed someone and in that they mentioned that all case numbers will not be updated over us consulate

i think case numbers related to only 221(g) will be updated on us consulate website and i hope my visa is just undergoing routine processing. My friends interview went on same day but all they got next day their passport

Any one have similar experience where interview went succesful and still under process for 15days ( even with out any 221(g)/case numbers at IV time)

Did you hear anything from them?
I got a mail but without any case number. Even I am not able to track the status.

How much time it took for them to send the passport back in case you would have received the passport.

Hi I am also in same boat my H1B approved on 26april and the staus is same. Did not recieved any slip its been more than a month now still no news ?

I appeared for interview on 10th and mailed the consulate and VFS last week but there is no reply from them till now.
If case number is not provided AFAIK we cant check the status.

Did you also appear for VI in the hyd consulate?

Hy can anyone tell me how many days are required by Hyderabad Consulate to process F1 (student ) visa ? usually people got it on the next day itself . But for me 4 days are already over. please help.
