Need help for visitor visa

Heard that we can select other languages like telugu for visitor visa interview in calcutta consulate. Since we did not get an appointment in chennai, we book the slot at calcutta consulate. As my mother cannot speak english do we have any translator available at calcutta consulate ? How do we proceed ?

What was the basis for getting appointment at Calcutta instead of at Chennai? If it's not due to a genuine provable emergency reason, you are bound to get rejected at Calcutta.

As for translator, somebody with this experience can comment better.

You can't get any other language than english in Calcutta or Delhi for Chennai people.Read on TTS website it clearly says Fluent in English.
