  • Parents got 221G pink form after interview at New Delhi consulate

My parents appeared for B2 visa interview on May 22 2012 at New Delhi consulate. Interviewer asked the basic questions and said its need additional processing and asked them to go to counter 30 for help. Lady at the counter kept my parents' passports and handed over pink form and didn't ask for any additional document to be submitted. She also crossed out all listed document on the pink form and asked my parents to wait for 3-4 weeks time.

I checked the status by entering the case number at New Delhi US consulate website but it is showing invalid case number.

I am not sure if we need to submit any document or just wait to hear back from VFS/consulate.

If someone has experienced similar situation, please let me know.

    Thanks
    Abhishek

    Hey Abhishek,

Did you get any reply from US Embassy or got the passports?

My parents are in the same condition. Appeared for interview on 6/25/2012 at Delhi Consulate, interview went well, didnt see any docs, the VO said you will get the passport in few days. But then as they were about to walk out they were called back and asked to go to Counter 30 and there they got the Pink Slip with Case number, without asking for any document. The VO @ window 30 kept the passports and said they need to do advance processing, and hence passport will be received in 3-4 weeks.

So not sure if there is anything i should be worried about?

    Thanks in Advance'

      Please update your cases

      Hi abhishek/nic,

I have also faced the same process for this in New delhi US embassy.
The VO sent me to counter no. 30 ...the lady over there kept my passport and said it would take around 3-4 week time for further administrative processing. She didn't ask for any document, also crossed out the listings over there in the white print-out which says they can't process my visa application at this point of time.

Please..please update what happened to your application..did you get your Visa/passport? IF yes..in what time?? I am pretty much disturbed out of this and want to know what should be done in this case.
I tried to find out the case number status, but it shows the case number is invalid.

please..anyone try to help me out of this case.

My parents got the stamped visa within 3 weeks. You dont have to worry, since they kept the passport, 99% they will get the passport with visa stamped soon. Good luck!

Can others also update about their experience. What happened? Did you get the visa stamped and if so in how many days? My parents appeared on March 14th 2013 and were given white form 221g with the list of documents cancelled. Its going to be 4 weeks but the case status still shows administrative processing.

@Susenj : did you get your visa stamped and if so in how many days?

          Please help !

            Please update your case

            Hi RTW,

My parents appeared on April21 2013 for B2 interview at delhi and were given white form 221g with the list of documents crossed just like yours. They kept their passports. Can you please tell me what happened with your case. Did they ask you for some additional documents other than the documents they crossed on white slip. Do I have to proactively do anything or just wait for their response.

            Thanks,
            Japnik Singh
