  • Visitor Visa - Agriculture

I am planning to bring my mother-in-law and father-in-law on a visitor visa. He does agriculture but never filed an income tax as the income was within the limits.

I have heard about some cases where the visa was rejected as the taxes were not filed. How can we overcome this situation? Please advise.

I Thank you for the help!

Consular officers know that people with agriculture income only do not have pay taxes or file taxes. That is no problem.

SHAKTHI_80, your father didn't file income tax in India, or Muscat? Being in Muscat for 10 years, I'm sure he must have filed income tax there. In such a case it was ok to not have filed it in India (provided there's a double taxation avoidance treaty between Muscat and India). So provide copy of tax return from wherever it was filed.
