B2 Visa Drop Box New Delhi

Hi,

I had dropped my daughter's passport for under the minor interview waiver at the VFS centre in new Delhi, It has been more than 2 weeks now and I have still not received any update from them, on calling up they say it is with the US embassy and they cannot assure any fixed time for return. any one with similar experience, how long does it generally take.

That can very well happen. You just need to keep contacting them or wait to hear from them.

I have also applied for my son under the IWP, but so far the status on VFS site is "Your passport is under process in US embassy/consulate". I read in one of the site, that since this IWP process is new it can take anywhere between 3 to 6 weeks or more... On reading that, I felt that if I had known this earlier, I could have opted for the personal interview instead. Atleast we would get to know immediately if the visa has been rejected or approved.

Do let know if your daughter has received the visa and how long it took.
