    Dear Sir,

Greetings to you,i have always read from your pages and they have been helpful in getting the relevant U.S information that i need.

I have a particular situation which disturbs me. My wife has just gone to the U.S to give birth on a visitor visa, however, what was suppose to be perfect joy had some other twist. The new born baby girl was suspected of having down syndrome and was later confirmed tthrough a test.

She had planned leaving the U.S this july. This has disturbed me greatly as i know that the baby girl can't have the best of medical care in my home country.

My wife does not mind staying back in the U.S so as to support the child but this is impossible on a visitor visa.

How can we manage the situation Sir? Is there any special priviledge she can get because of her child? Please help as i am confused.

    There are no such privileges.
She can extend her stay by another 6 months by applying for an extension.
In the meantime if she can find a student course to enrol in or a work sponsor
she may be able to change to student/work.
But it may not be easy with the baby.

Another way is, if you a can spend $500k, invest in the EB5 green card program for her and you.
