Urgent :Name in passport different than acctual name

Hi all,
My moms name in the passort is spelled diffrently than it should have been and I'm trying to get her a visitor visa she has to go to the consulate on 8th July.
What should I do in this situation.. Should I send all the documents with the name as on the passport? If I ask her to correct that mistake then she won't be able to go for the interview on 8th and then won't be able to come here before Feb next year..

I suggest you assume that her name in the passport is correct and write that name everywhere if you want to get things done quickly now.

Of course, ideal thing would be to get that name corrected in the passport, but that would take time, she would miss interview and all that.
