usmle !! help !!

Hi there.. Myself and my husband are doctors ( young ) giving our usmle step 1 in dec. our visa interview ( as a couple ) is planned for january and we are gonna apply only for tourism as purpose of visit not mentioning about usmle. wen the v.o asks if we are intrested in writing usmle should i say no or yes ? cos i know if we say 'yes' he might not give the visa and if i say 'no', i'll be lying.
please suggest !!

I think it is not a good strategy to present yourself as tourists when you are going to take the USMLE.
The officers are well trained and they will see through this in no time.
Even if the question of USMLE does not come up. they will never grant a tourist visa to two young doctors.


My advice;
Take step1 and step2 ck in India . If you get excellent scores, they will definitely grant you a visa
to take step 2cs. Taking both steps in India shows you are serious about residency training in US.

It will be safer to try one at a time.
There is another way. Look for an H-1 sponsored research (asstt./associate) position.
