  • Visas for cruise when in US

My relatives are going to visit the US for 6 weeks. They currently have a 10 year B1/B2 Multiple entry visa. We plan to take them on a cruise that goes to the Cayman Islands, Mexico and the Bahamas. The stops at each port are only day-stops (no overnights). Do they need additional visas for this trip?

Thank you for your help in this matter

As far as i know, you don't need visa for Bahamas if you go on cruise(Required if you go by air).

I forgot to mention (how did I forget this???) that they are Indian citizens.

Since posting the question, I called Disney and was told they definitely did NOT need a visa, then we dug deeper, together. And found that they do!

"persons from those countries whose nationals would normally require visas to travel to The Bahamas, are now required to obtain a visa if they plan to travel and depart from The Bahamas via cruise ship."

It's a bummer but the turnover time is supposed to be 7 business days so we are ok. Barely.

      Thanks!
