One way ticket on visitor visa- is that OK?

Hello my parents will be visiting me for the third time here in USA.
This time i want to get one way tickets entering into USA as the exact date and location of return ( max stay of six months in USA) is not sure.
Is this OKAY from port of entry- immigration point of view?
Offcourse my parents are going to go back in less than six months but we are just not sure of the exact location they would depart from.
Because they might get on some domestic tour in USA and directly depart from there.

Please share your opinion.

Thanks Admin. The POE officer has never asked for the return ticket to my parents in their earlier visit..
Is it the airline in India that would need the return ticket to have them board the flight to USA?

even though they don't ask it is always better to book round trip as safer side. If you have bad luck and at the POE they asks about return plan what you will do?
will your parents well enough to answer those questions? Don't put your parents in risk for the sake of couple hundred dollars.

In my friend's case, at POE, the IO asked for the return ticket which he did not have. So, the IO gave him a short stay and said no extension of stay to be requested. He noted this in the computer. My friend had to leave before the I 94 expiration date.

If your parents are going to be on a one-way flight, they should at least have proof of sufficient funds to purchase their return flight.
