  • Visting visa holder can apply green card?

    Hi..

My mother in law is in US right now on Visting visa (6months). Did anyone know if she can apply for a green card? Any feedback can would be helpful.

    Thanks,

That depends upon the legal status of your wife.

If your wife (or her brother/sister) is US citizen, they can sponsor your mother-in-law's green card.

Marriage in USA but left country...now to return in a month and apply for green card

My question is...if a USA citizen marries within the USA and leaves with her spouse only to return a month or so later due to previous commitments.
Will the spouse be as easily available for the green card when returning? Or should they wait and marry in the USA changing status after marriage?
The male has a B1/B2 multi entry already.
      Thank you for any informatioin.
This is a great site in the land of visa hell.
