Visa extension for grandmother

Hey there,

My grandmother is here to visit us. She has been given 6 months on entry. I have applied for visa extension for 2-3monthsnow. Yet to receive any reply on that. In the meanwhile the existing I 94 is about to expire. Can she stay here after the expiry of existing I 94 till we reveive any reply on the extension plea??
