Question on B2 extension rejection

Hi,
I have applied for i-94 extension for my parents and am awaiting the results. I read in this site that i should consult a immigration lawyer to get some days for my parents to depart, in case iof extn. rejection. Suppose, if they get return tickets 3/4 days after i get the denial letter, should i consult a lawyer even for this 3/4 days staying the US ?.
Kindly please someone who experienced this or know this respond so that i can be prepared what i should do so in case of rejection ?

When you get a denial of extension and your I-94 has expired, sec 222g begins to apply TECHNICALLY which means visa void due to overstay and you must leave asap. There is no period stated by law within which one should leave, but 2-3 days seems fine. You do not need to consult an attorney for that.

Whether one left within a reasonable period of time after receiving a denial and if 222g is applicable is determined by the officer when you enter next on the same visa.
If he questions you, you must show him the denial letter, copy of the I94
card, and an evidence of date you left US ( boarding pass, arrival stamp
of home country on passport).
Usually there is no problem for people who can show that they left within a
reasonable period of time.

Thanks for your reply. So if my parents visitor visa will get rejected and if they leave in 2/3 days time also, they wont have any problems while leaving the country, correct ?.

Leaaving the country is not a problem . There is no immigration inspection at US departure. You only need to deposit the I-94 with the airline crew while boarding the plane.
