My wife is there in the states right now. She had a home birth last month and is under the process of acquiring a birth certificate and a passport for our new born child so that they could both come home here to our country. Her 6 months B1/B2 visa is only up 'till the end of november and I'm worried that she may not have enough time to process the said documents before her I-94 expires. My question is can she file for an extension with the reason that she just needs time to process the said documents and once those documents are acquired she will leave the states and go home to our country to be re-united with the rest of her family?
