Extension of B2

Hi,
I wanted to know if once a B2 visa extended here on the stay in the US ,does the visa holder have to go back to India to get an I-94 again???
My mom is visiting me for a duration of 6 months in the view to look after me coz I am undergoing a series of surgeries,n what are the chances that her visa wud b extended???

For the reason you mentioned, USCIS may not extend the visitor visa and if an extension is denied and the person has stayed past the I-94 expiry date, it voids the visitor visa and the person has to apply again which means more trouble.

Yes, if approved, it comes with an attached I-94 and no need to leave the US for a new I-94.
