Parents on B-2 Visa and want to visit again after receiving extension

My parents are currently visiting us in US on B2 visa. They have 10 years visa. They initially came for 6 months but we applied for their extension for three more months and they got it from USCIS and now they are leaving on 31st Decemeber. They want to come back again next year but we want to know how long they need to stay in India before visiting us in US again.

If they don't want to get into trouble with immigration and don't want to be asked tough questions at their POE next time then they better not visit you again before mid-2011 at the least.
2012 would be the safest bet.

The untold norm is that you are expected to be in your home country more than what you stayed in USA. If they have stayed in USA for 9 months, then, they are expected to be in their country double the time namely 18 months minimum to avoid any hassel when they come back again.
