What is a lifetime event for B1/B2 stay extension ?

Is it possible to get B1/B2 stay extension approval for parents stating 'staying with their first newborn grandchild' as a lifetime event? Does this qualify as a valid reason to file for an extension?

It's a "once-in-a-lifetime-event." You can always try. It would help if they explicitly indicate when and how they are going to exit the US.
