Visitor visa extension: Reason to explain

Hi all,

My mother is on visitor visa and her I-94 expires on 11/05/2011. We had initially planned for my father as well to be here but his visa got delayed and he got the visa anow and he joining us this month. So we would like to extend my mother's I-94 as well so that we can spend time with both of them for some time. I just wanted to check if this reson sounds strong when I apply for extension. Please advice.

Also looks like e-filing has some issues and am thinking to post all the documents and I still have 45 days of time, is this sufficient time to apply?
