Reasons for B2 extension

Hello guys,

I am just curious to know if the reason we quote for requesting an extension of a visitor visa plays a major role in the officer taking a decision ?

For example, is there a common reason that gets a denial in most cases ? I am interested because in my request for my parentss' extension, I had put in that I was hospitalized and recovering from an aliment and that I need someone to take care of me. Both myself and wife work full time. Is this a convincing enough reason ?

If you had applied for an extension and had it denied, please share what reason you had put in as it helps others not make the same mistake.

You should put whatever your reason really is.
