I highly appreciate your prompt response on my query.

My parents are around 50-59 age, my dad is a diabetic and my mom has neck issues. But they have their medicines with them so thats not an issue.

Will the insurance cover for the below:
      1) Emergencies (not related to diabetes and neck issues), i know for emergencies we can call 911.
      2) Allergies and skin issue ( this could happen as they are new in US)
      3) Pharmacy bills which include medicines?
      4) What if there is no claim during their travel ? Will i get some amount back or any discount ?
      5) Do i need to pay the deductible everytime i visit any doctor or hospital ?
      6) What if the expenses are less than the deductibles ?

        1.
Calling 911 is free but everything else beyond that phone call is not. Either you or the insurance still has to pay for all the costs.

As long as it is either a new medical condition, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date, it will be covered. Additionally, in some plans, it will also cover an acute onset of pre-existing condition up to some amount.

        2.
        Please refer to #1 above.

Additionally, Atlas America specifically excludes skin issues.

        3.
        Please read https://www.insubuy.com/internationa...lth-insurance/

        4.
No refund. You have completely used up the insurance.
        Please read https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-travel-insurance/

        5.
Deductible is not per visit. In comprehensive plans, the deductible is once for the entire duration (less than 1 year).

        6.
        You would pay them.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time or post them here.

Which plan you would suggest to me

          1) Patriot America or 2) Atlas America

What are the benifits, i have tried comparing both these plans, found that Patriot america covers in-Network: 90% covered for first $5,000
100% covered thereafter. Where as Atlas covers 80%

Atlas has multiple PPO, where Patriot has have only one PPO. Will Patriot cover skin issues?

Please do let me know your thoughts on it.

Observed that the fixed coverage now does not include any PPO after May10'13. This is a very sad news.

Patriot America does not exclude skin diseases. Therefore, as long as it is a new medical condition that occurs after the effective date of the policy and not pre-existing condition, it will cover them just like any other eligible medical expense.

In Atlas America, as long as you go to the providers in the PPO network and they bill directly (which usually they will), it is 100% after the deductible.

Therefore, if skin matters are important to you, buy Patriot America. Otherwise, either one is good.

Fixed coverage plans pay a fixed amount and rest of you have to pay. Therefore, keeping a PPO network is not financially feasible as the insurance company has to pay the big portion of your payments as PPO access fees and network negotiated fees (in-network discount). In other words, they don't save anything by keeping PPO network but instead lose money.

We always recommend everyone to buy only the comprehensive coverage plans.
