Hi
My parents (aged 72 and 79) will be visiting for 4 months. They checked insurance in India, and NO pre-existing condition coverage is available.
My mother (72) is in relatively good health overall (mild knee issues & arthritis).
My father (79) has been a cardiac patient and had a bypass 2 years ago. He also has early stage Parkinsons (though that doesn't result in any other issues).
From reading these forums, it seems that the only pre-existing condition coverage available is for under-70s -- is there any policy that provides even some coverage for emergency issues such as heart attacks or similar?
My siblings and I all have strong medical coverage through our large employers, but I am assuming there is no way to add parents to those policies (as they are visitors, not permanent residents)?
Any suggestions / ideas / solutions?
My parents said they will get travel insurance covering other items (and new medical conditions) from one of the two Indian companies providing such policies, and it seems cheaper than buying that in the US, but I am mostly concerned about what happens if there is an emergency related to my father's heart condition.
Thank you in advance!

My parents will also be spending 2 weeks in Canada (Quebec) -- I understand it is possible to buy visitor coverage for the Canadian system?
