Atlas travel insurance for mother

Hi there,

I am planning to buy this medical insurance for my mother who is in US currently and planning to stay till 08 Mar 2017. She is on B2 visa.

I saw that the requirements to get this insurance is that it should meet J2 visa requirement. Can you please clarify the same?

We have applied for her extension of stay till Jul 2017, so may renew the insurance when we get approval from USCIS.

I read the certificate wordings and have the following questions.
-It talks about emergency illness. How about non-emergency illness like fever, flu etc where we schedule for appointment with doctors?

Insurance will pay for whatever treatment medically necessary as long as it’s not pre-existing or preventive care. Pre-existing will be covered only in case of acute onset of pre-ex. More information on acute onset of pre-ex at,
