Visitor Medical Insurance for a Person with Preexisting condition

My father-in-law is visiting us this month from India. He is over 70 years and he is currently taking medicines for heart problems. I know, this is considered a pre-existing condition. I need some advice regarding what to do about the insurance. Should we be taking insurance anyway? If any one faced this before please share your experiences.
