Travel + Medical Insurance?

I can understand that medical insurance is very useful.

But, when it comes to travel insurance where visitors stay with relatives and hence a delay wont result in additional expense is a travel insurance useful?

If so is there a way to buy them together. My parents tell me that there is a company called Cholamandalam General Insurance that offers both for $900 for 2 for 3 months. I do not feel comfortable buying insurance from an Indian company.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is better to buy the visitor medical insurance from US based company.

You posted a question in the thread https://www.insubuy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25333 and I assume that you would have already read the entire thread. Whenever you buy any insurance, ask all the questions mentioned in the beginning of the thread to make sure you are buying good insurance. To the best of my knowledge, none of the Indian companies provide those features, convenience and service that Protection America does. It is definitely worthwhile buying from US based company.
