Research fellow insurance

I am writing to inquire about the health insurance for foreigner studying in US.

I came from Thailand. I have been being a research fellow in Hospital Epidemiology (a post graduate training, not full time student) since Jan 2006 at Virginia Commonwealth University.

I am not sure that I am eligible to enroll in the Study USA-HealthCare Insurance plan. It would be grateful if you could confirm my eligibility.

I saw many health insurance companies in your website. Some policies are nearly identical. In your experience, how good are these companies at paying claims?... How about the travel Insurance services and IMG?

You are NOT eligible for Study USA-Healthcare as you are NOT full time student.

You can look at Protection America from IMG. That one is the best international health insurance. They are pretty good at paying claims.

Thank you very much. Do you know the policies that cover brain surgery from trauma? I found that most visitor insurance policies ( also Protection America from IMG) don't cover treatment of nervous disorders!

This is the response I received from the insurance company.

Nervous disorders pertain to Mental and Nervous (mainly psychiatric) conditions. They are excluded in the policy.
Treatment for a brain injury/trauma under a covered accident/illness is not excluded by the policy.
