Patriot America vs Protection America

I am looking for visitor medical insurance for my mother and am interested in buying comprehensive coverage plan. When comparing policies Patriot America and Protection America seem to be very similar and from same underwriter. Patriot is even better with 90/10. But price of Patriot is less than Protection. I am not sure why is that ? Can you please point me to main differences between these 2 ? Why Protection is more than Patriot ?

Patriot America must be purchased for minimum 3 months initially and paid upfront if you would like to renew in future.

While Protection America can be purchased for minimum 5 days and still be renewed.

I have another question and this is about deductable.
Is the deductable of 100/200 etc. will be for each occurance i.e each doctor visit or only once during initial visit ?
