  • Medical Insurance for father - 72 years

My father, an Indian Citizen, is visiting us from India in May for about 4 months. I wanted to find what insurance can we buy for him - searched on insbuy.com and it seems like only plan available is Fixed plan from Seven corners (policy max 50,000 or 70,000).

    couple questions -
    a) is there no comprehensive plan available due to his age ? some other reason ?

    b) It seems pre-existing conditions are typically not covered for his age- I have read discussion on this forum. any changes forthcoming due to new Medical laws from President Obama.

    c) I live in dallas, TX area - any feedback if the Seven Corners plan (point a above) is accepted by doctors in Dallas metroplex ?

    Thanks in advance

It seems that you have selected a criteria where only fixed plans are available in the U.S. market that fits that criteria. I think you might have chosen the policy max $70,000 to $99,999. There are no comprehensive plans in U.S. market for that policy max.

    Therefore, either choose $50,000 to $69,999 or $100,000 to $129,999, or $130,000 to $199,999 at https://www.insubuy.com/

We certainly have comprehensive plans available for his age group.

If you need help in searching and selecting the right criteria, please call our office at (866) INSU-BUY.

Please be assured that we offer all major plans from all major companies in the U.S. market for visitors insurance. If there is a plan out there and if it is worth buying, we have it.

    Pre-existing conditions are not covered.

Obama healthcare reform is not appilcable to visitors. For even those it is applicable (U.S. citizens and green card holders), it is applicable only in 2014. Please read https://www.insubuy.com/

No short term health insurance plans are meant to cover pre-existing conditions. Please read https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-medi...ng-conditions/ for further information.

We also are located in Plano, TX. However, no matter where you live, you get the health insurance cards that has all the information that the provider will need to bill the insurance company directly. Most doctors and almost all the hospitals bill directly. I have never heard about any hospital not billing any of our insurance plans directly.

I hope that answers your questions.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here or contact us at any time.
