Specific Skills
PhD in biostatistics, statistics, data science, computer science, andor machine learning. Completion of Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, or enrolled in PhD or equivalent international degreegranting program at the time of application. Candidates must possess experience in biostatistics andor statistics, with the potential for pathbreaking research advancing population health. In addition, the School of Public Health seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education. Regarding specialties, we are conducting a broad search, but preferably the candidate will have an interest in modern, dataadaptive methods for highdimensional data, and a grounding in statistical theory including classic asymptotic inference, semiparametric efficiency theory, and empirical process theory. Relatedly, candidates with an interest in statistical computing, in particular with an emphasis on Big Data applications, are particularly wellsuited to the future of our Division. Finally, the ideal candidate will be expected to have a demonstrated commitment to the development and application of advanced analytic tools to improve population health.
