I am a L1 to H1 Case. Was there in U.S for 5+ Years. I140 Approved. Same employer and Client since 5 Years.
Went to Chennai consulate with Spouse & 2 Dependents. Lady V.O asked all Client location, Employee information and few basic questions and asked to wait again.
After 30 Min got a call to attend at a different window(Indian Staff) and was asked to give all my documents (all the employer related information kit) and which I handed over to them. Wait time for one hour. Then a call from the initial V.O who already have a blue slip in her hand, asked for client letter. I showed/ pointed the client letter which was already there in her hand along my all my H1 documents. She then realized that, said OK and tore the blue slip in her hand.
Asked me to wait again and all my documents were taken to a different officer inside. Finally a blue 221g after 4 hrs.
Passports and documents returned. Checked only one box, further admin processing. Its almost 60 days now and no updates
so far.
